Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 17, 2026
Welcome to WebPict. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website https://webpict.com and all related tools and services (collectively, the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using WebPict, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
2. Description of the Service
WebPict provides free, browser-based tools that allow users to convert, compress, and optimise images (including conversion to WebP and AVIF formats). All image processing is performed entirely on your device (client-side). We do not upload, store, or access the images you process.
The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising (Google AdSense).
3. No User Accounts
You do not need to create an account to use WebPict. We do not require registration for the core conversion and optimisation tools.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload or process any content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, etc.) in a way that harms the Service or other users
- Circumvent any security or technical limitations
- Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in any abusive activity
We reserve the right to restrict or block access if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, logos, and trademarks on the Service (excluding user-uploaded images) are owned by WebPict or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
You retain full ownership of any images you process with our tools. Because processing happens locally in your browser, we never receive a copy of your files.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Conversion results will always meet your specific quality or compatibility requirements
- Any defects will be corrected
You are solely responsible for testing and verifying the output files before using them in production.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebPict and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the Service shall not exceed £100 (or the equivalent in your local currency).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless WebPict and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service may contain links to or integrate with third-party services (including Google AdSense, Supabase, and DashNex). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those third-party services. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will always show the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
